Wysteria Eclipse

A baobh-shith is a spirit of old Celtic folklore, said to wander the highlands and forests where the veil between worlds runs thin. Often appearing to travelers as a beautiful entity dressed in robes, they are a fae through and through. They are frequently described as deer-legged and vampiric.Legends describe them as both alluring and deadly - luring travelers with a beautiful voice before revealing their true nature. Yet like many fae, they are not defined as merely cruel - only bound to instincts and rules far older than human understanding.

Philosophies

My spiritual path is something I've shaped over time, rather than something I inherited whole. I was raised in a strict Catholic environment, which I ultimately stepped away from in my teens as I began questioning and redefining what belief meant to me.In early adulthood I spent time studying with an Alexandrian Wiccan coven. While I was never formally initiated, that experience gave me structure, language, and a foundation that still influences me and my work to this day. From there, my path's become more personal: less about fitting into a defined tradition, and more about building something honest and lived-in.My practice now draws from multiple roots. I honour my Mi'kmaq heritage, and I'm deeply inspired by Celtic and Norse polytheistic traditions, with a druidic perspective at the core. To me, spirituality isn't about rigid doctrine, or about forcing others to convert, but it's something to be celebrated and shared. It's about a relationship: with the land, with story, with other people, with ancestry and with the unseen.This worldview shapes how I move through life and my creative work alike. It's reflected in the themes I explore, the characters I write and embody, and the way I understand the world - something a little older, a little wilder, and not always fully understood.
